Mario and Keller’s Elcom Accused of Subverting Constitution to Illegally Clear Abdullahi Isah for Idah NYCN Election

It has been gathered that the Electoral Committee (Elcom), chaired by Mario and with Abdulkadeer Ali-Keller as its secretary, has come under intense scrutiny for allegedly subverting the constitution to clear Abdullahi Isah, a serving councilor, to contest for the position of Idah NYCN Coordinator. This move, which directly contradicts the eligibility criteria outlined in the NYCN constitution, has sparked outrage among stakeholders who view it as a deliberate attempt to manipulate the electoral process.

Investigations reveal that Isah, in addition to exceeding the constitutionally approved age limit, holds multiple political offices—including his current position as a councilor, the Organizing Secretary of the NYCN state executive, and Treasurer of the local government chapter. These factors alone should have rendered him ineligible. However, under the leadership of Mario and Keller, the Elcom has not only ignored these disqualifications but has gone ahead to insist on his candidacy, raising serious concerns about their integrity and impartiality.

Critics argue that this decision reflects a pattern of political interference and institutional compromise. Observers say that rather than upholding the credibility of the election, Mario and Keller’s Elcom has chosen to undermine the process by enabling a candidate who, by all legal standards, should not be on the ballot. This, they insist, is a clear indication that the committee is prioritizing personal or external interests over the principles of fairness and lawful governance.

The development has sparked widespread condemnation, with many questioning whether the election is merely a staged process to impose a predetermined outcome. Stakeholders have warned that allowing an ineligible candidate to contest not only erodes the credibility of the NYCN in Idah but also sets a dangerous precedent where constitutional violations are normalized.

Amid the growing backlash, concerned voices have called for immediate corrective action. They insist that the only way to salvage the integrity of the election is for Elcom, under Mario and Keller, to reverse its unlawful decision and uphold the constitution it was entrusted to protect. Until then, the electoral process in Idah remains tainted, and the leadership of the committee continues to face mounting accusations of complicity in an orchestrated attempt to hijack the NYCN election for vested interests.
