President Tinubu Departs for UK Vacation

President Bola Tinubu departed for the United Kingdom yesterday to begin a two-week vacation, which is part of his yearly leave. This trip comes after his recent official visit to China and a brief stay in the UK. During his time in the UK, President Tinubu is expected to reflect on his administration's economic reforms while engaging in some work-related activities, making this a working vacation and retreat.

It's worth noting that the President's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the trip, providing insight into the President's plans.

The Kogi State Government has taken another bold step towards strengthening tertiary education infrastructure as Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo officially handed over sites for the construction of two ultra-modern hostel facilities at the permanent campus of the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara. The Governor, who was represented at the ceremony on Monday, 27th July, 2026, by the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, performed the site handover to contractors for the construction of a 350-bed male hostel and a 350-bed female hostel, bringing the total new accommodation capacity to 700 bed spaces.
