AN URGENT APPEAL AND PASSIONATE CALL FROM MY HEART, TO ALL ỌMỌ ARỌDẸ DINRIN PO'MO, HOME AND ABROAD

IYAMOYE DAY 2026: THIS SATURDAY, 31ST OCTOBER!

A CALL TO COME HOME, CELEBRATE OUR HERITAGE, UNITE OUR PEOPLE AND BUILD OUR FUTURE.

My dear beloved Ọmọ Arọdẹ, at home and in the diaspora, I bring you warm greetings filled with love, pride, and the unbreakable bond we share with our beloved Iyamoye-Ijumu Kingdom.

The day is almost here! This Saturday, 31st October 2026, the drums will roll, our cultural colours will shine, and Iyamoye will once again open her arms to welcome her sons and daughters home!

It is IYAMOYE DAY 2026!

With just a few days to go, this is an urgent and heartfelt call to every son and daughter of our great kingdom: PLEASE, COME HOME! IYAMOYE IS CALLING!

Iyamoye Day is more than an annual celebration. It is a homecoming, a reunion of families, a celebration of our identity, and a renewed commitment to the growth and development of our beloved land.

It is that special occasion when farmers and professors, traders and captains of industry, young and old, leaders and followers, and our people from far and near come together to reaffirm one truth: WE ARE ONE PEOPLE, UNITED BY ONE HERITAGE AND BOUND BY ONE DESTINY.

This year's celebration promises to be colourful, memorable, and impactful. You cannot afford to miss it!

THREE IMPORTANT REASONS WHY YOU MUST BE PART OF IYAMOYE DAY 2026

1. UNITY: STRENGTHENING THE BOND THAT BINDS US

Our greatest strength lies in our unity. Beyond our differences, personal interests, and geographical locations, we remain one people with a common heritage and a shared future.

Iyamoye Day provides another opportunity to reconnect, reconcile, renew friendships, strengthen family ties, and build lasting relationships that will move our community forward.

Let us come together in love, because a united Iyamoye is a stronger Iyamoye!

2. CULTURE: CELEBRATING OUR IDENTITY AND HERITAGE

Our culture is our identity, our pride, and our inheritance. This Saturday, we will proudly showcase the rich cultural heritage, traditions, values, and uniqueness of the Ọmọ Arọdẹ.

Through cultural displays, traditional expressions, and community interactions, we will educate our children, celebrate our history, and introduce our heritage to friends, visitors, and admirers across the world.

Let us preserve what makes us unique and pass it on to generations yet unborn. When we celebrate our culture, we keep our identity alive!

3. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE

This year's celebration also presents a golden opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of our beloved kingdom.

Our ambitious target is to raise ₦500,000,000 (Five Hundred Million Naira) towards the construction of an ultramodern Skill Acquisition Centre and other vital community development projects.

This vision goes beyond constructing a building. It is about creating opportunities for our youths, equipping our daughters and sons with practical skills, empowering our women and widows, promoting entrepreneurship, and building a stronger local economy.

It is about creating an environment where our people can acquire valuable skills, establish legitimate businesses, become economically independent, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of Iyamoye.

The future of Iyamoye cannot be left to chance. It requires our collective commitment, sacrifice, and support. If we do not build our community, who will? If not now, when?

Every contribution counts. Every act of support matters. Together, we can turn this vision into reality and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

THIS SATURDAY, LET US ALL COME HOME!

My dear brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, uncles and aunties, friends of Iyamoye-Ijumu, and our neighbouring communities, the time to act is now!

On behalf of the Regent of Iyamoye-Ijumu, High Chief Iliasu Babatunde Aminu, the Obadofin of Iyamoye-Ijumu Kingdom; the members of the Traditional Council; the National Executives of Iyamoye-Ijumu Development Union (IDU), ably led by Alhaji Adeyemi Abubakar Shittu; and the entire Iyamoye Day 2026 Planning and Organising Committee, I, Alhaji Sheriff Bello, Chairman of the Organising Committee, passionately invite you to join us for this historic celebration.

 DATE: Saturday, 31st October 2026

Your presence is a statement of love. Your participation strengthens our unity. Your donation can change a life. Your contribution can shape the future of Iyamoye.

Whether you live in Abuja, Lagos, other parts of Nigeria, or anywhere across the globe, remember that distance cannot erase our roots, and success means even more when we remember where we come from.

Let this year's Iyamoye Day be remembered not only for its colourful cultural displays and grand reunion but also for the bold steps we take together towards a more united, prosperous, and developed Iyamoye.

The countdown is almost over. The preparations are in top gear. The drums are ready. The land is waiting. And our people are coming home!
