Adavi East Leading Candidate Suberu Abdulazeez Mobilises Voters to End APC Rule, Promises Grassroots Development

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Adavi East State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulazeez Suberu Onogu, has called on constituents to mobilise for a democratic change of government, urging voters to end the All Progressives Congress (APC)'s hold on the constituency in the forthcoming election.

Hon. Suberu made the call on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, during a joint ward meeting involving Karaworo, Ebogogo and Iresuha wards, where he addressed party faithful, community leaders, elders, women leaders and youth groups on the need for political unity and grassroots mobilisation.

The ADC candidate expressed concern over what he described as unfulfilled promises and economic hardship under the current APC administration, insisting that the time had come for constituents to make their voices heard through the ballot box.

He urged residents to intensify grassroots engagement, mobilise eligible voters and work collectively towards securing electoral victory for the ADC, stressing that democratic participation remained a powerful instrument for changing the direction of governance in Adavi East.

Suberu, however, cautioned party members and supporters against violence, personal attacks and actions capable of disrupting the peace before, during and after the election. He maintained that the party's campaign should be anchored on ideas, practical solutions and a clear vision for development rather than hostility or political confrontation.

According to him, ADC members must demonstrate discipline, maturity and respect for the rule of law to convince the electorate that the party is committed to responsible leadership and meaningful progress. He also called for unity across the wards, emphasising that a peaceful and inclusive campaign would strengthen the party's grassroots presence and improve its chances at the polls.

Outlining his vision for Adavi East Constituency, Hon. Suberu pledged to provide accessible and people-oriented representation if elected to the Kogi State House of Assembly. He promised to maintain an open-door policy that would enable residents of Karaworo, Ebogogo, Iresuha and other wards to communicate their needs and concerns directly to him.

The ADC candidate further pledged to pursue impactful constituency projects, support small businesses, expand educational opportunities for young people and promote social welfare programmes aimed at improving residents' living conditions. He stressed that effective representation should extend beyond political promises to deliver tangible benefits to communities and ensure that the concerns of ordinary citizens receive adequate attention.

Hon. Suberu urged party faithful and residents across Adavi East to unite behind the ADC's vision, expressing optimism that collective action and peaceful political participation could bring about the desired change in the constituency.

He concluded by urging supporters to take the ADC's message of hope to their communities and remain committed to pursuing electoral victory through lawful and democratic means.
