Hon. Abanika Joins in Mourning as Hon. Egidi Loses Mother

It is with deep sorrow, but in total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, that we received the news of the passing of a beloved matriarch: the mother of our esteemed leader, Hon. Barr. Abdulraheem Sanni Egidi, Honourable Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.

Mama, until her transition, lived a life marked by unwavering dedication, selflessness, and boundless love; not just for her children but for everyone privileged to know her. She embodied the true essence of motherhood; a woman who endured life’s trials with courage and grace, ensuring that her children thrived and stood tall in society despite countless challenges.

Her strength, resilience, and unceasing prayers gave rise to the remarkable leader we celebrate today in the person of Hon. Egidi, whom we proudly regard as a divine gift to Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.

While we grieve her departure, we take solace in the belief that Mama has returned to her Creator and now rests in a place far better than this world.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Hon. Egidi and the entire family. May Allah grant them the strength to bear this painful loss, and may He reward Mama’s good deeds with Aljannatul Firdaus.

  The Kogi State Government has issued a firm directive to individuals unlawfully occupying properties within the National Housing Estate at Crusher, Lokoja. This call, issued by the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Taiye Abanika, on January 3, 2025, mandates immediate evacuation from Phases I, II, and III of the estate. Hon. Abanika decried the illegal occupation, stating it undermines the objectives of the National Housing Programme (NHP), which aims to provide affordable housing to Nigerians. Shockingly, over 85% of the estate’s units are occupied without authorization, with reports of fraudulent resale of these properties.
