The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Kogi State, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has hailed the recent court judgment ordering the restoration of suppressed state constituencies in the state, describing it as a victory for justice, fairness, and inclusive governance. Reacting to the ruling of the Federal High Court, which directed the Independent National Electoral Commission to restore the affected constituencies, the Commissioner said the judgment represents a major step toward strengthening democratic representation in the state. According to him, the ruling will correct years of imbalance in representation and ensure that communities previously denied adequate voice in the Kogi State House of Assembly will now have the opportunity to participate more effectively in the legislative process.
