The leadership of the Nigeria Medical Association in Kogi State has passed a vote of confidence on the Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri, and his management team, describing Kogi State Specialist Hospital performance as legendary.

The Chairman of the group, Dr. Baoku Olusola, stated this during a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director.

Dr. Baoku, speaking on behalf of other members, noted that since assuming his role at a sister tertiary health institution in Kogi State, there have been no reports or referrals of patients as a result of poor management from health practitioners at the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja. This, according to the group, is a result of the excellent management by the Chief Medical Director.

The Association also commended the CMD for prioritizing the welfare of doctors in the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, such as providing meals to doctors on duty.

They further charged the CMD to continue his quality leadership and ignore all detractors.

The NMA stressed that they would not hesitate to report any erring doctor to the national body for proper discipline and assured the management of the hospital of their cooperation at all times.

Earlier, the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Isah Adagiri Yahaya, welcomed the team of doctors and highlighted some of his achievements since assuming office, including cordial relationships with the state government, staff welfare, and institutional restructuring, among others. The CMD, however, promised never to relent in delivering quality health services to the people in line with the mandate of His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
