Kogi State Government Partners with Citec International Estates Limited to Address Housing Deficit
In a strategic move to mitigate the housing deficit in Kogi State, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 paid a working visit to the Managing Director and CEO of Citec International Estates Limited, Oludare Bello Esq in Abuja. The visit aimed to explore investment opportunities in the state's housing sector under the administration of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Hon. Abanika Taiye reaffirmed the Kogi State Government's unwavering commitment to fostering public-private partnerships to benefit Kogites. He emphasized that the state has created a conducive environment for investors through various legislations and executive orders. This initiative aligns with the government's goal of driving sustainable development and addressing critical infrastructural needs.
The Managing Director of Citec International Estates Limited, visibly excited by the discussions, expressed gratitude for the state's gesture and assured that the company would seize the opportunity to complement the government's housing policies and activities.
Citec International Estates Limited, a leading player in Nigeria's housing sector, is currently executing the Federal Government's "Renewed Hope" Housing Project, which includes over 3,000 housing units under the administration of His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The company is also renowned for developing several multi-billion-naira housing estates across the country and manufacturing high-quality building materials.
Speaking on the partnership, Hon. Abanika Taiye stated, "It is believed that with this collaboration, there will be a significant reduction in the housing deficit in Kogi State. Furthermore, this initiative will generate employment opportunities for our teeming youth."
