KOGI DRUGS AGENCY FELICITATES HON. MUIZUDEEN Y. ABDULLAHI, SAN, ON BIRTHDAY, COMMENDS SUPPORT FOR HEALTHCARE LEGAL FRAMEWORK

The Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency (KSDMSMA), Pharm. Salamat Onize Ibrahim, on behalf of management and staff, has felicitated the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Kogi State, Hon. Muizudeen Y. Abdullahi, SAN, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a dependable legal partner in strengthening the state’s healthcare delivery system.

In her congratulatory message, Pharm. Salamat commended the Attorney General for his commitment to the rule of law and for providing consistent legal guidance that has supported the Agency’s mandate of ensuring access to safe, quality, and affordable drugs and medical consumables across Kogi State.

She particularly acknowledged his role in the drafting, review, and vetting of Memorandum of Understanding between KSDMSMA and private pharmaceutical partners, noting that his input ensured legally sound agreements that protect the interests of the state while complying with relevant regulatory standards.

The Executive Secretary further noted that these interventions have helped establish a strong legal foundation for strategic partnerships aimed at improving the supply and distribution of pharmaceutical products to health facilities across the state.

Pharm. Salamat also commended Hon. Muizudeen for facilitating the deployment of a Legal Officer to the Agency, describing it as a strategic support that has enhanced legal compliance, institutional governance, and operational efficiency.

She further appreciated his efforts in promoting adherence to the extant laws governing KSDMSMA, as well as relevant regulations across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, noting that his office has continued to provide essential legal backing for effective public service delivery. She added that the Agency remains confident in his capacity to drive deeper compliance and strengthen enforcement of applicable legal frameworks between the Agency and other health institutions for improved coordination and service delivery.

She also lauded his dedication to justice, accountability, and human rights protection, particularly his support for initiatives addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and promoting the rule of law in the state.

Describing him as an accomplished legal luminary and public servant, Pharm. Salamat expressed appreciation for his continued counsel and support, which she said have contributed significantly to the success of the Agency’s programmes.

She prayed for his continued good health, long life, and greater service to Kogi State and humanity.
