Kogi Commissioner for Housing Urges Massive Participation in Continuous Voter Registration

The Kogi State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has called on citizens of the state, particularly residents of Ajaokuta Local Government Area, to turn out in large numbers for the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.

Hon. Abanika described the voter registration exercise as more than a civic duty, noting that it remains a vital instrument for shaping the future of the nation and the state. He urged eligible citizens not to take the opportunity for granted but to ensure they are duly registered ahead of future elections.

The Commissioner assured his constituents of the necessary support to enable a seamless registration process, stressing that the 2027 general elections are fast approaching.

“As a believer in the democratic process, and serving under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, a strong advocate of the rule of law, I am committed to ensuring that all necessary arrangements are made to carry our people along in this exercise,” he stated.
