Birthday: Pharmacist Salamat Onize Ibrahim Hails Governor Ododo as a Mentor Championing People-Centred Health Reforms in Kogi

The Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supplies Management Agency (KSDMSMA), Pharmacist Salamat Onize Ibrahim, has extended warm birthday felicitations to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, describing him as a mentor whose leadership has redefined politics as a tool for service, anchored on the welfare and wellbeing of the people.

Pharmacist Salamat noted that Governor Ododo has consistently demonstrated visionary and people-centred leadership, particularly in the health sector, by prioritising policies that ensure drugs and other medical consumables are not only available, accessible, and affordable to residents of Kogi State, but are also effective, safe, and of assured quality.

She commended the Governor for his strong political will in strengthening institutions, citing his approval and sponsorship of officials of the KSDMSMA for a study tour on pharmaceutical quality control testing.

According to her, the initiative is a strategic step aimed at building local capacity ahead of the full operationalisation of the Pharmacy Quality Control Laboratory within the Agency.

The Executive Secretary explained that this forward-looking investment reflects the Governor’s deep understanding that sustainable healthcare delivery is built on strong systems, effective regulation, and uncompromising standards in drug management.

She further described Governor Ododo as a mentor whose example continues to inspire public servants and health professionals to embrace humility, accountability, professionalism, and service to humanity, adding that his administration has elevated governance beyond politics to measurable impact on the lives of the people.

Pharmacist Salamat prayed that Almighty God grants His Excellency sound health, renewed strength, and divine wisdom to sustain his people-focused agenda and continue steering Kogi State towards greater heights of development.
