Workers’ Day: Hon. Abanika Salutes Kogi Workers, Commends Gov. Ododo’s Commitment to Workers’ Welfare

The Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has extended warm felicitations to workers across Kogi State on the occasion of this year’s Workers’ Day, acknowledging their resilience, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of the state.

In a statement personally signed on Friday, 1st May, Hon. Abanika described Kogi workers as the backbone of governance and service delivery, noting that their unwavering commitment continues to drive progress in both the public and private sectors.

He particularly commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his deliberate and people-oriented policies aimed at enhancing workers’ welfare. According to the Commissioner, the Governor’s leadership has ushered in a renewed sense of hope and motivation among the workforce through prompt payment of salaries, improved working conditions, and a clear commitment to sustaining workers’ dignity.

“Today, we celebrate the strength, sacrifice, and dedication of our workers who remain the engine room of our state’s development. I sincerely appreciate your efforts and encourage you to continue to uphold professionalism and excellence in your respective duties,” he stated.

Hon. Abanika further assured that the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development remains committed to complementing the Governor’s vision by creating a conducive environment for infrastructural growth that will ultimately improve the living standards of workers and residents across the state.

He urged workers to sustain their support for the present administration, emphasizing that collective effort and unity are essential in building a more prosperous Kogi State.
