Eid el-Kabir: Prof. Adagiri Salutes Muslims, Commends Gov Ododo on Early Payment of June Salary

Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri, the Chief Medical Director of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, has extended his heartfelt felicitations to Muslims worldwide as they celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid el-Kabir. In his message, Prof. Adagiri highlighted the significance of Eid el-Kabir, emphasizing that it is a period for reflection and sacrifice, epitomized by the story of Prophet Ibrahim. According to Islamic tradition, Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated unwavering faith and obedience to Allah by being willing to sacrifice his son, Ismail, an act that ultimately earned him Allah's abundant blessings.

Prof. Adagiri urged Nigerians to take inspiration from Prophet Ibrahim's example by embracing virtues of sacrifice and selflessness for the collective betterment of the nation. He emphasized that in challenging times like these, such virtues are especially crucial for fostering unity and progress in Nigeria.

In addition to his Eid greetings, Prof. Adagiri took the opportunity to commend the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, both for his leadership and for ensuring the timely payment of the June salary to state employees. He lauded Governor Ododo as a compassionate leader who is attuned to the needs and welfare of his people. Prof. Adagiri expressed his gratitude to the Governor, acknowledging that the prompt salary payment would significantly alleviate financial pressures on many families during the festive period.

Prof. Adagiri also prayed for continued divine guidance and protection for Governor Ododo as he steers the affairs of Kogi State, wishing him wisdom and strength in his leadership endeavors.

Furthermore, Prof. Adagiri extended his congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, and prayed for their continued prosperity and the opportunity to celebrate many more Eid el-Kabir festivals in the future.
