Kogi AG Applauds APC for Flawless Primaries, Expresses Confidence in KOSIEC's Readiness for October Polls

The Accountant-General of Kogi State, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Tijjani Onumoko, has commended the Kogi State All Progressives Congress (APC) and the State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) for their outstanding execution of the recent local government and ward primary elections across the state’s 21 local government areas.

Hajia Habibat praised the transparent, fair, and credible nature of the elections, emphasizing that it reflects the APC's dedication to democratic principles and internal democracy. She also acknowledged the leadership and true commitment displayed by the party in building a robust democratic foundation, which she believes will strengthen the electioneering process in Kogi State.

Furthermore, she lauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for ensuring adequate security throughout the exercise, which contributed to its success.

The AG was equally impressed by KOSIEC's professionalism, efficiency, and impartiality in managing the electoral process, noting that the commission is indeed prepared for the upcoming local government elections.

While congratulating the victorious local government Chairmen and ward Councillorship candidates, she encouraged them to prioritize actions that will fortify the party's unity and cohesion as they head towards the October 19 local government elections.

"I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all who emerged victorious in the primaries," she said. "May your efforts continue to strengthen our party as we approach the October elections."
