Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko extend warm felicitations to Prof. Salisu Ogbo


 Kogi State Accountant-General, Hajia Habibat Oyiza Onumoko has extended warm felicitations to the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, the Oma Oja Ata Igala, as he marked his birthday.

The Accountant General thanked God for the life of the Rector and acknowledge God's guidance and protection upon his life.

While fielding questions from journalists in Lokoja yesterday, the Accountant-General said the meteoric rise of the Kogi State Polytechnic within a short period under Ogbo's leadership is a solid testimony to his competence, commitment, and his devotion to the institution's growth and development.

The Accountant General also commended the Rector for unveiling a sickle cell foundation.


She said the groundbreaking initiative will no doubt light up hope for countless individuals and families affected by sickle cell disorder in the state.

According to her, sickle cell disorder is by far the commonest inherited disorder in the world, and in Nigeria, where it affects two out of every hundred children born, causes suffering for innumerable patients and their families.

She enjoined professor Ogbo to sustain the tempo of development at the Polytechnic, and continue to shape the institutions into a place of growth, knowledge and friendship.

On behalf of the staff of the Office of the Accountant General of Kogi State and members of FairWin Women Advancement Association (FAWWASS), the Accountant-General congratulated Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman and prayed that God in His infinite mercy will grant the celebrant wisdom, good health, long life to offer more resourceful service to the state and humanity.
