Ministry of Housing and Urban Development Boss, Engr. Abanika Taiye, Conducts Unscheduled Inspection of Ongoing Audit House, Ultra-Modern Market, and Other Projects, Showcasing Gov. Ododo’s Commitment to Development

The Kogi State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Engr. Abanika Taiye on Monday 16th December, 2024 conducted an unscheduled inspection of ongoing construction and renovation projects under the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, emphasizing the state government's unwavering commitment to quality and development.


Ongoing Construction of Audit House 

During the visit to the Audit House Complex construction site in Lokoja, Engr. Abanika commended the contractors for their use of high-quality materials and urged them to adhere strictly to contract specifications. He stressed that the Ododo-led administration is deeply committed to excellence and would not tolerate any compromise on standards. The Commissioner highlighted that, once completed, the Audit House would provide a conducive environment for effective state account management. Contractors assured him that the project, currently 60% complete, would be ready by March 2024.

The Commissioner also assessed the ongoing development of the Kogi State Ultra-Modern Market, which spans 25 hectares of land now being graded. The project is expected to revolutionize commercial activities in the state upon completion. Expressing satisfaction with the pace of work, Engr. Abanika encouraged the contractors to maintain their momentum.

His tour continued with the inspection of the renovation of selected buildings at the Court Complex along NUJ House in Lokoja. Engr. Abanika noted the significance of the renovations in creating a functional and modern judicial environment, further strengthening the infrastructure needed for effective service delivery.

These projects, he noted, are a testament to the visionary leadership of Governor Ododo, whose administration remains committed to delivering impactful projects that enhance development across all sectors.
