The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has extended warm felicitations to his colleague, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams Adeiza, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, on the occasion of his 40th birthday.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Abanika described Dr. Adeiza as more than just a colleague but a brother with a heart of gold, acknowledging his immense contributions to the administration of His Excellency, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo. He commended Dr. Adeiza for his dedication to advancing the health sector through the effective implementation of laudable policies and programs that have strengthened healthcare delivery across the state.

Furthermore, Hon. Abanika applauded Dr. Adeiza's collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, which has played a key role in the execution of several health infrastructural projects across Kogi State.

  The Kogi State Government has issued a firm directive to individuals unlawfully occupying properties within the National Housing Estate at Crusher, Lokoja. This call, issued by the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Taiye Abanika, on January 3, 2025, mandates immediate evacuation from Phases I, II, and III of the estate. Hon. Abanika decried the illegal occupation, stating it undermines the objectives of the National Housing Programme (NHP), which aims to provide affordable housing to Nigerians.
