Kogi State Specialist Hospital: Acting CMD Assumes Office, Vows to Prioritize Healthcare Excellence and Staff Welfare
The Acting Chief Medical Director of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, Dr.Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, officially resumed office today, March 10, 2024, with a firm commitment to advancing quality healthcare and improving staff welfare.
Speaking at a brief handing-over ceremony, Dr. Folagbade pledged to uphold the vision of the hospital’s founding fathers while executing Governor Ododo’s mandate to deliver accessible and efficient healthcare services to the people of Kogi State.
Dr. OluwaSeyi Bamidele FolagbadeHe expressed profound gratitude to the Governor for entrusting him with the hospital’s leadership, vowing to lead with dedication, transparency, and excellence.
"As someone deeply familiar with this institution, I understand the challenges and aspirations of our staff. My priority is to foster a supportive and conducive work environment where everyone can thrive. I am fully committed to enhancing staff welfare because a motivated workforce is essential for delivering quality healthcare services," Dr. Folagbade stated.
He introduced a guiding watchword for his administration, encapsulated in the acronym "CARE":

Emphasizing inclusivity, Dr. Folagbade assured staff that he would operate an open-door policy, ensuring fairness and equal treatment for all, regardless of tribe, religion, or rank.
Staff members welcomed the new leadership with goodwill messages, pledging their cooperation and support as he embarks on this transformative journey.
It would be recalled that His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, appointed Dr. Folagbade as the Acting CMD on March 7, 2025, following the completion of Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri’s tenure.
