Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri Bids Farewell to Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, in Grand Style
The immediate past Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri, officially handed over leadership to his successor, Dr. Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, in a brief but significant ceremony held at the CMD’s office today.
In his farewell address, Prof. Adagiri expressed profound gratitude to God Almighty for granting him the strength and wisdom to lead the hospital during his tenure. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON, for entrusting him with the responsibility of serving as the CMD.
Reflecting on his time at the helm, Prof. Adagiri highlighted several milestones achieved under his leadership, emphasizing improvements in healthcare service delivery, infrastructural development, and financial prudence. He commended the hospital’s workforce for their dedication and resilience, acknowledging their collective role in advancing the institution’s reputation.
Expressing confidence in his successor, Prof. Adagiri described Dr. Folagbade as a capable and experienced professional who has been an integral part of the hospital system. He assured him of his unwavering support whenever needed, stating, "I am just a phone call away for any clarification or assistance."
In his response, the newly appointed Acting CMD, Dr. OluSeyi Bamidele Folagbade, lauded Prof. Adagiri’s transformative leadership, particularly in areas such as curbing revenue leakages and fostering a culture of humility and teamwork within the hospital. He assured his predecessor that the hospital would continue to build on the strong foundation laid and would not hesitate to seek his guidance whenever necessary.
The ceremony was attended by the management staff of the hospital.
