Season’s Greetings and Clarification on KSSH Health Insurance Services

The management of Kogi State Specialist Hospital (KSSH), Lokoja extends warm season’s greetings to our esteemed patients, hospital community, and the general public. We appreciate your continued trust and cooperation as we remain committed to delivering quality healthcare services.

We commend His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his unwavering support towards the health sector. His strategic appointments and investments in healthcare infrastructure have significantly empowered facilities across the state, with KSSH being a proud beneficiary.

We wish to categorically state that Kogi State Specialist Hospital is fully committed to providing accessible, efficient, and quality healthcare services to all patients, including enrollees under various health insurance programs. We take great pride in the over 12,000 enrollees currently under the Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme (KGHIS) and other insurance platforms, and we treat every beneficiary with utmost dignity and respect.

Despite national challenges, including the "Japa" phenomenon, our hospital remains staffed with competent and dedicated medical professionals. Since assuming office, the Acting Chief Medical Director, Dr. Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, has activated comprehensive strategies to enhance service delivery across all units—from specialist consultations to diagnostics and pharmacy services.

We urge our patients and the public to utilize the appropriate feedback channels already provided for complaints, inquiries, or suggestions. Spreading unverified claims, especially on social media, does not support our mutual goal of building a responsive and patient-focused hospital system.

Woman Slumps, Dies While Sharing Testimony In Lagos Church

  A 55-year-old woman, identified as Ifeoma, reportedly died shortly after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State. The incident occurred around 8:48 am during Sunday service on 8 September 2024, ultimately led to her death a few minutes later. The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Wednesday. The 55-year-old woman had allegedly gone to the front of the church, singing songs of gratitude as she prepared to give her testimony when she suddenly collapsed. SP Hundeyin said that the 55-year-old was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
