The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Kogi State, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has extended warm felicitations to the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Bar. Muiz Yinus Abdullahi, SAN, on the occasion of his birthday.

In a goodwill message issued in Lokoja, Hon. Abanika lauded the legal luminary for his unwavering commitment to justice, equity, and the rule of law in Kogi State. He described Bar. Muiz as a seasoned legal practitioner whose sound knowledge of jurisprudence has continued to place Kogi among the states where justice is upheld with integrity.

He further commended the Attorney General for his loyalty and support to the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that Bar. Muiz's legal guidance has been instrumental in promoting good governance and ensuring legal reforms in the state.

While celebrating his achievements, Hon. Abanika prayed for continued divine guidance, strength, and many more fruitful years for the Attorney General in service to the state and humanity.

  The Kogi State Government has issued a firm directive to individuals unlawfully occupying properties within the National Housing Estate at Crusher, Lokoja. This call, issued by the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Taiye Abanika, on January 3, 2025, mandates immediate evacuation from Phases I, II, and III of the estate. Hon. Abanika decried the illegal occupation, stating it undermines the objectives of the National Housing Programme (NHP), which aims to provide affordable housing to Nigerians.
