Kogi Commissioner for Housing Conducts Media Tour with Babajide Otitoju at KSU Kabba
In a move to reinforce the state government’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and quality service delivery, the Kogi State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, on Monday, June 23, 2025, led a media tour to inspect ongoing and completed construction projects at the Kogi State University, Kabba.
The tour was conducted in company of renowned investigative journalist and broadcaster, Babajide Kolade Otitoju, alongside members of his production crew. The media visit provided an opportunity to assess the scale and quality of infrastructural development within the institution.
Among the major projects inspected were the Administrative Blocks, Senate Building, Library Complex, male and female hostels, and several academic blocks — all of which are at various stages of completion and reflect adherence to modern standards.
The Commissioner and his guests were warmly received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. K.I.T. Eniola, and members of the university management, who guided the team through the campus facilities.
Expressing delight at the pace and quality of work, Babajide Otitoju and his team commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his unwavering commitment to education, infrastructure, and development. They also applauded the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, led by Hon. Abanika Taiye, for its effective oversight and dedication to ensuring the delivery of high-standard projects.
A comprehensive documentary of the tour is expected to air on Television Continental (TVC) in the coming days, offering the wider public a glimpse of the impressive transformation taking place at Kogi State University, Kabba.
