The contractor handling the construction of the Kogi State Audit House, Silverpro integrated service Ltd, has officially handed over the edifice to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development on behalf of the Kogi State Government.

At a brief ceremony held on Friday 29th of August 2025, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, alongside staff of the ministry and representatives from the Office of the Auditor-General of the State, received the keys to the newly built structure.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Abanika commended the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his visionary leadership and commitment to infrastructural development. He described the Audit House as a magnificent project that will serve as a “home away from home” for staff of the Office of the Auditor-General, boosting their morale and productivity.

“This is what visionary governance represents. With projects like this, the argument for His Excellency’s second term is already settled,” the Commissioner remarked.

Hon. Abanika also praised the contractors for delivering a high-quality project that meets acceptable standards. He assured that furnishing of the facility will be completed in the coming days, after which Governor Ododo will officially commission the building.

On their part, representatives of Silverpro integrated service Ltd expressed appreciation to the Kogi State Government for the opportunity to execute the project and pledged their readiness to partner on future infrastructural developments.
