Hon. Ahovi Muhammad Represents Gov. Ododo at Morenike and Adams’ Wedding, Gifts Couple Cash Donation

It was a joyous atmosphere of celebration and thanksgiving on Saturday, 30th August 2025, as Adams Mathew Adeiza, son of the elder sister of the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, tied the knot with his beloved Abubakar Morenike Mariam.

The colorful ceremony, held at the NUT Hall, Lokoja, attracted dignitaries from all walks of life, including the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, who was ably represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Works, Hon. Ahovi Muhammad.

Hon. Ahovi, who also chaired the occasion, congratulated the couple and charged them to build their home on the foundation of love, patience, and mutual respect. As a mark of support, he presented the newlyweds with a substantial cash gift to help them begin their marital journey.


In his remarks, Hon. Abanika Taiye, Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development and uncle to the groom, expressed deep appreciation to Governor Ododo for his continuous support and goodwill, as well as to Hon. Ahovi for his presence and generosity. He described the Works Commissioner as not just a colleague but a brother and partner in progress, adding that together they will continue to make the Ododo-led administration proud.


Hon. Abanika also counseled the couple on upholding strong moral virtues, cherishing one another, and being role models for future generations. He further extended gratitude to his political associates, friends, and other dignitaries who honored the occasion with their presence.

The Housing Commissioner equally seized the opportunity to call on attendees who have not yet obtained their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) to proceed for registration, stressing that it remains their voice and a vital tool in ensuring continuity of the good governance of His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Woman Slumps, Dies While Sharing Testimony In Lagos Church

  A 55-year-old woman, identified as Ifeoma, reportedly died shortly after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State. The incident occurred around 8:48 am during Sunday service on 8 September 2024, ultimately led to her death a few minutes later. The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Wednesday.
