Hon. Abanika Hails Prof. Ogbo at 53, Describes Him as a Symbol of Reform and Unity

The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has extended his warm felicitations to the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo, on the joyous occasion of his birthday anniversary.

In a message personally signed by him, Hon. Abanika described Prof. Ogbo as a visionary leader, a goal-oriented administrator, and a detribalised Kogite whose exemplary leadership has repositioned Kogi State Polytechnic into a modern and digitally driven institution of learning.

He lauded the Rector’s steadfast commitment to academic excellence, administrative reforms, and his notable contributions to the unity and progress of Kogi State, as well as his unwavering support for the consolidation agenda of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

Hon. Abanika further appreciated the cordial partnership between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and Kogi State Polytechnic, noting that such collaboration continues to advance the development aspirations of the present administration.

He prayed that Almighty God grants Prof. Ogbo good health, divine wisdom, and many more years of fruitful service to humanity and to Kogi State.

Woman Slumps, Dies While Sharing Testimony In Lagos Church

  A 55-year-old woman, identified as Ifeoma, reportedly died shortly after collapsing while sharing a testimony at the Ministry Church in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State. The incident occurred around 8:48 am during Sunday service on 8 September 2024, ultimately led to her death a few minutes later. The spokesperson for the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Wednesday. The 55-year-old woman had allegedly gone to the front of the church, singing songs of gratitude as she prepared to give her testimony when she suddenly collapsed.
