Christmas: Hon. Abanika Taiye Felicitates Christians, Calls for Prayers for Kogi Leadership, Assures Better 2026
The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development in Kogi State, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has congratulated Christians in the state and across Nigeria on the celebration of Christmas, describing the season as a period that reflects the virtues of love, sacrifice, peace and unity.
In his Christmas message, Hon. Abanika urged Kogites to internalize the lessons of the season by embracing love for one another, promoting peaceful coexistence and strengthening unity among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
The Commissioner also called on the people of the state to use the festive period to pray for the continued success of the Kogi State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength and divine guidance in the task of governance.
Hon. Abanika reassured the people of Kogi State of a better and more prosperous year 2026, noting that the present administration remains committed to policies and programmes aimed at delivering sustainable development and improving the wellbeing of citizens, particularly in the housing and urban development sector.
He wished Christians a peaceful and joyful Christmas celebration and prayed for renewed hope, progress and abundant blessings for Kogi State and the nation at large.
