Ajaokuta Free Trade Zone: Hon. Abanika Hails Gov. Ododo’s Vision, Hon. Egidi’s Strategic Efforts, Commends President Tinubu’s Love for Kogi

The Kogi State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has commended the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his visionary leadership and strategic initiative that led to the Federal Government’s approval of the Ajaokuta Free Trade Zone.

Hon. Abanika described the development as a historic milestone capable of transforming the economic landscape of Kogi State and bringing massive investment opportunities, employment and infrastructural growth to the state, particularly the Ajaokuta axis.

In a statement made available to journalists, the Commissioner said the achievement is a testament to Governor Ododo’s commitment to industrial development and sustainable economic growth in the state.

He also praised the Member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulraheem Sanni Egidi, for his relentless efforts and cordial working relationship with the Kogi State Government, noting that such synergy between the state and federal representation is already attracting dividends of democracy to the people of Ajaokuta and Kogi State at large.

Hon. Abanika further expressed appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for what he described as his genuine love and support for Kogi State through policies and approvals that promote economic advancement.

According to the Commissioner, the approval of the Free Trade Zone clearly demonstrates the President’s commitment to industrialization and national development, adding that Kogi State stands to benefit immensely from the initiative.

He noted that the people of Kogi State deeply appreciate the gesture and assured that they will reciprocate the support given to the state by standing firmly behind Governor Ododo, Hon. Egidi, President Tinubu and other emerging aspirants within the All Progressives Congress in the coming elections.

Hon. Abanika also called on the people of Ajaokuta and Kogi State at large to remain supportive of the present administration, stressing that the Free Trade Zone will serve as a catalyst for rapid industrial growth, attract both local and international investors, and create employment opportunities for thousands of youths.

While urging unity and continued support for the government, the Commissioner appealed to the people of Ajaokuta and other Kogites to take advantage of the holy month to pray fervently for the success of the present administration, peace, progress and sustainable development in Kogi State.
