Kogi Specialist Chief Medical Director Joins Gov. Ododo in the Launch of Medical Equipment and Consumables including Antimalarial Preventative Chemotherapy for Children
Kogi State Specialist Chief Medical Director, Prof. Isah Yahaya Adagiri, along with other top government functionaries and health partners, joined the Executive Governor of Kogi State in the launch of medical equipment and consumables, including antimalarial doses for preventative chemotherapy for children under five years old. This event took place at the premises of the Kogi State Drugs and Medical Supply Management Agency in Lokoja.
Some of the items being flagged off by the Governor
The Governor, while delivering his speech, declared that as a servant leader, he has come to serve the people of Kogi State and will do everything possible to consolidate and reposition the health sector. He recounted how his mother suffered from health issues as far back as 1997, during which he had no money to buy a pint of blood required for her transfusion. Having experienced such hardship, he stated that he would do everything possible to ensure every indigene of Kogi State enjoys quality and accessible healthcare.

Prof. Adagiri, reacting to the event, described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as a man who matches words with actions. In his words:
"Today, we are here to witness another milestone in the achievements of His Excellency Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo. The Governor is a man who doesn't talk too much but achieves so much. He is a man who matches his words with actions, and that's what we are witnessing here. With this launch of medical equipment and consumables and the Governor's promise to reposition the health sector, Kogites are set to enjoy more dividends of democracy."
The Chief Medical Director further commended the Commissioner of Health, Dr. Abdulazeez Adams, for his vision and proactive approach in administering the health sector.
