Gov. Ododo Inspects Ongoing and Completed Projects at Kogi State University, Kabba — Applauds Ministry of Housing for Effective Supervision
The Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Friday, 31st October, undertook an inspection tour of ongoing infrastructural projects at Kogi State University, Kabba. The projects are being supervised by the Kogi State Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
The Governor, accompanied by his entourage, was received by the university management and the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye.
During the inspection, Governor Ododo visited several key projects within the institution, including the School Library, Male and Female Hostels, Senate Building, Faculty of Science, and the Administrative Building. While some of the projects have been completed, others are still under various stages of construction.
Governor Ododo, who expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work, charged the contractors to maintain high standards and ensure timely completion. He commended the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development for its meticulous supervision and commitment to excellence, noting that such diligence aligns with his administration’s vision for quality infrastructure across the state.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the inspection, Hon. Abanika Taiye appreciated the Governor for his continuous support and passion for the education sector. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s resolve to ensure value for money in all projects, pledging that his team would sustain strict supervision to deliver projects that meet global standards.
The visit reinforces Governor Ododo’s dedication to strengthening educational infrastructure and fostering sustainable development in Kogi State.
