Hon. Abanika Performs Lesser Hajj, Prays for Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo and Kogi State

 

The Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Abanika Taiye, has offered special prayers for the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the entire people of the state while performing the Lesser Hajj (Umrah) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Hon. Abanika, who is currently in the holy city of Mecca fulfilling one of his religious obligations as prescribed in the pillars of Islam, disclosed this in a chat with news correspondents. He expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting him the opportunity to worship and serve Him in the holy land.

According to the Commissioner, he used the spiritual exercise to pray for continuous peace, divine protection, and sustained blessings for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Kogi State as a whole.

Hon. Abanika commended the Governor for his decisive stance and ongoing onslaught against terrorism, crime, and criminality across the state, describing the efforts as commendable and worthy of collective support. He urged Kogites to rally behind the Governor in the fight against insecurity to ensure lasting peace and development.

The Commissioner further revealed that beyond the spiritual significance of the pilgrimage, he is also using the opportunity to understudy some of the world’s best architectural designs and modern infrastructure. He assured the people of Kogi State of improved and quality housing delivery under the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He stressed that the pilgrimage is both a spiritual renewal and a learning experience aimed at translating global best practices in housing and infrastructure development for the benefit of Kogi State.
